I am using the SL2i in a 2009 Lexus RX350 with the Ipod Nano 3rd generation.
It works fine when attached - charges and no other problems.
Until I disconnect it. When I then go to attach it to my computer it will not be recognized by the computer (Windows XP SP3) unless I do a reset of the Ipod by holding the MENU side of the wheel and the center button.
I am not disconnecting the Ipod from the car until it says Vais Technology OK to disconnect at the bottom.
Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Steve

most likely an iPod problem...

Why? I have had no other issues with this Ipod - including syncing with my computer, aside with after it is disconnected from the Vais device.

Sorry, but your post makes no sense....you say the problem isn't when it is hooked up to the vaistech, just when you hook it up to windows....then you say you have no problem with the iPod otherwise...sounds like either an iPod issue of iTunes/windows issue.

Why does it make no sense?
The only time I have a problem with the Ipod is IMMEDIATELY AFTER IT IS DISCONNECTED FROM THE VAIS UNIT!!!
If I never connect it to the unit, there never is a problem. So it should be obvious that even though the Ipod screen says OK TO DISCONNECT the Vais unit is not actually releasing control (don't know any other way to put it) of the Ipod.
Now do you understand?
