Default Upgrading firmware question
Is it correct that in order to upgrade the firmware it has to be done on a laptop while the unit is connected to the vehicle?

...And the firmware is locked to the computer that registered and download the update?

This makes it difficult for me to update since I don't have a laptop.

BTW, what is the latest firmware version?

It is correct. You do have to have a laptop and firmware is registered to your specific adapter and to your laptop.

Latest firmware for SL2i-UP is 4.48, SL2s - 4.43, SL2xMT - 4.42.
